Understanding our service terms and booking policies

1. General
These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings and services provided by The Evie Edit ("we", "our", "us").
By booking an appointment or using our services, you agree to these terms.
2. Booking & Deposits
All appointments are by appointment only via our online booking system (Fresha).
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit is deducted from your total on the day of your appointment.
Deposits ensure your appointment time is reserved and cover preparation costs.
Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received.
3. Rescheduling & Cancellations
If you need to reschedule, your deposit can be transferred to a future booking when you provide at least 48 hours’ notice.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice will result in the loss of your deposit.
If you do not attend your appointment ("no-show"), your deposit will be forfeited and future bookings may require full upfront payment.
We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments due to illness, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances.
4. Refund Policy
Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Refunds will not be issued for completed tattoo work unless required by Australian Consumer Law.
If you are dissatisfied with your tattoo, please raise your concerns during your appointment so we can address them immediately.
5. Age & Consent Requirements
We comply with Western Australian laws regarding tattooing.
You must be 18 years or older to receive a tattoo.
Proof of age (valid photo ID) will be required before your appointment.
No exceptions will be made for minors, even with parental consent.
6. Health Conditions & Disclosure
You must inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, skin conditions, or medications that could affect the tattoo process or healing.
We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe it may be unsafe or unsuitable for you.
If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of your appointment, your session will be cancelled and your deposit forfeited.
7. Designs & Copyright
All tattoo designs created by The Evie Edit remain our intellectual property.
Designs are not to be reproduced or used elsewhere without written permission.
Custom designs are created exclusively for you and will not be tattooed on another client unless agreed.
8. Studio Rules
Please arrive on time for your appointment.
Only the person being tattooed is permitted in the tattooing area unless prior approval is given.
No food or drink is allowed in the tattoo area.
Children and pets are not permitted in the studio.
9. Liability
Tattoos are permanent and may fade or blur over time due to skin type, placement, sun exposure, and aftercare.
We are not responsible for issues caused by failure to follow aftercare instructions.
While we take all necessary hygiene precautions, there are inherent risks in tattooing, including allergic reactions, infections, and scarring. By booking, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
10. Aftercare
Aftercare instructions will be provided verbally and/or in writing after your appointment.
You are responsible for following these instructions to ensure proper healing and long-term results.
11. Privacy
We respect your privacy and handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy (available on our website).
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
